New man at the helm of Africa’s busiest container terminal

Mr Ton Bestenbreur has been appointed manager of the Durban Container Terminal with effect from 1 April.

He succeeds Mr Zeph Ndlovu who has transferred to the Continuous Improvement division at SA Port Operations’ head office.

During the 1990’s Bestenbreur managed the Durban Container Terminal before taking up the post of managing director of an Italian port container terminal. He later returned to South Africa as manager of Fresh Produce Terminals at the port of Durban.
