Swaziland sugar exporters happy with Maputo
Dec 5, 2003
Sugar exporters in neighbouring Swaziland have expressed happiness with the services offered by the CFM in delivering sugar for export to the port of Maputo.
According to the Sunday newspaper Domingo, Swazi sugar producers were given a tour of the route along which their exports are delivered from the mills in East Swaziland as far as the sugar terminal in the port of Maputo.
One of the exporters, whose company exports 250,000 tonnes of sugar via the Mozambique port each year said security measures to prevent theft from the goods in transit were now working effectively thanks to the trains being escorted by CFM security personnel along the route from Swaziland.
