ICS hosts Hazardous Cargo Course

The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) is hosting a two-day Hazardous Cargo Course on 30 and 31 August 2004.

The course trainer will be Mr Ernest J. Marcel, DGSA, who is manager of Technical Management Compliance Group with CP Ships.

Mr Marcel is highly qualified and certified in both Europe and the USA with 14 years experience in the carriage of dangerous goods and has served as an adviser with VOHMA who is a member to IMO (International Maritime Organisation) sub-committee.

The association of VOHMA is a member of the UN Committee of Experts (UNCOE) on the Transport of Dangerous Goods as well as an adviser to the US Coast Guard's Marine Safety and Environmental Protection Directorate with respect to the water transportation of dangerous goods in bulk.
