Port engineer leaves Durban port
Dec 24, 2004
Durban’s port engineer Pat Raw is leaving the services of the National Ports Authority and the port of Durban, which he has served for the past 38 years.
The shock announcement was made yesterday with a brief statement issued by the NPA advising that Raw had decided to accept a mutual separation package. The short statement said the NPA wished him everything of the best for the future and thanked him sincerely for his invaluable contribution to the organisation.
“We are proud to say that the engineers who trained under him are highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable. Pat (Raw) certainly leaves behind a legacy, extensive knowledge and expertise with the rest of the engineering team.”
He leaves the organisation at the end of December 2004.
